My interest in art began at a very eary age. My mother taught art as a school teacher and gave private instruction as well. Like my mother, my art reflects the beauty of God's creative work in nature. I went to art shows with my mother and sold my first painting in 1965 when I was 15 years old. I still have the receipt for that first sale. Since then I have made many more sales and have even won a few awards at art shows. I graduated Auburn University with a Bachelor of Science Degree and later I studied Nuclear Medicine Technology in Atlanta, GA and graduated in 1977. I continued my interest in art and attended several workshops and showed my paintings at local art shows. After living in the Atlanta area for a number of years, I decided to return home to my roots in rural north Alabama where I reside with several dogs, cats, one bird and my God given love of art.
